On 30/9, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council (HDND) at its 13th session, the sixth (specialized) meeting, passed a resolution outlining support policies to attract international tourists via charter flights to Phu Cat Airport for the 2026-2027 period.
According to the resolution, international travel service businesses headquartered in Gia Lai, either directly or in partnership, that organize the transportation of international tourists to the province via charter flights will be eligible for this support policy.
To qualify for support, businesses must present a specific tour program, have accommodation contracts with local establishments, and utilize the province's tourism services, including transportation, dining, sightseeing, and shopping. Additionally, businesses must obtain approval for their flight operation plan from the competent authority and ensure a minimum commercial seat occupancy rate of 50% for the first 6 months, increasing to at least 70% from the seventh month onwards.
Each charter flight arriving at Phu Cat will receive 200 million VND in support. Furthermore, the province will assist in promoting and advertising the businesses' tourism products through mass media, state agency channels, and at investment, trade, tourism promotion programs, and external affairs activities.
Travel agencies bringing international tourists to Gia Lai via these flights will also receive a 50% reduction in fees or ticket prices for visits to the Science Discovery and Innovation Center, Twin Towers, Banh It Tower, Quang Trung Museum, and the Bien Ho scenic spot.

Businesses must submit their support application within 30 days of the flight's completion. A single support item cannot simultaneously receive benefits from multiple state budget policies.
The resolution takes effect from 10/10 this year and remains valid until 31/12/2027. Funding for its implementation will come from the state budget, as allocated, and other legal sources.
