A large fire broke out at Xanh market on Trinh Dinh Cuu street in Hanoi on the morning of 23/12, leading to the evacuation of many surrounding households.

The blaze erupted around 4:10 h from one seafood stall within the market, rapidly spreading to adjacent kiosks. The presence of clothing and fabric businesses in the vicinity fueled the quick expansion of the fire, generating a large plume of smoke.

Strong winds at the time of the incident intensified the blaze. Power to the area was cut. Fire and rescue police forces are working to contain the fire.

Past 6:00 h, the fire remained uncontrolled. Many surrounding households began evacuating their belongings to prevent the blaze from spreading.
