The incident occurred around 6 p.m. when a sleeper bus, registered in Da Nang and carrying dozens of passengers, was traveling on National Highway 1 from Ho Chi Minh City towards Central Vietnam. Upon reaching the Bang Lang bridge area in Hong Son commune, the bus suddenly collided with a concrete median strip and overturned.

Following the crash, the bus obstructed a portion of the national highway, trapping many passengers inside. Passersby and local residents quickly broke windows to assist in extricating the victims.
Nguyen Xuan Quy, a local resident, reported that two ambulances were dispatched to the scene to transport the injured for emergency treatment. "It might have been due to the rain and slippery road, causing the driver to lose control", she said.

Nguyen Ha, who participated in the rescue efforts, confirmed that six injured individuals were transported to Binh Thuan General Hospital. Fortunately, there were no fatalities or critically injured cases.
Authorities in Lam Dong province are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
