According to the Traffic Police Department (Cuc CSGT) under the Ministry of Public Security, compared to the same period in 2025, accident incidents fell by 26,15%, fatalities by 36,73%, and injuries by 16,25%.
On the final day of the holiday, 2/9, traffic accident fatalities saw a sharp decline of 63,89%, totaling 13 people.

To ensure smooth traffic flow, national traffic police deployed maximum personnel, combining direct patrols with advanced technology monitoring systems. These efforts led to the detection and handling of over 97.600 violations. Authorities temporarily seized over 15.000 vehicles, revoked over 1.500 driving licenses, and deducted points from over 9.300 licenses.
On road routes, over 76.800 cases were processed. Two common offenses, speeding and driving under the influence, accounted for nearly 30.000 of these violations.
Expressway traffic patrol teams inspected nearly 9.000 vehicles. They issued citations for over 700 cases and sent out over 3.300 automated penalty notices.
During this period, authorities took strict action against 11 cases, comprising 8 passenger cars, two private cars, and one truck, for failing to maintain safe distances. This resulted in point deductions and the temporary seizure of all involved drivers' licenses.
