Two people die at restaurant, suspected electrocution

Two restaurant employees in Hai An ward were found dead in the kitchen area, likely due to an electrical leak.

On 17/5, around 7 PM, Hai An Ward Police received a report from Bep Lang Hoa restaurant, located at 292 Lung Dong, regarding the deaths of two employees, Le Thi Minh (38) and Nguyen Van Nam (34), in the kitchen.

Initial investigations and a scene examination led authorities to conclude that electrocution was the likely cause of death for both victims.

At the time of the incident, Hai Phong City experienced widespread heavy rain, causing localized flooding on many roads and low-lying areas, which increased the risk of electrical leaks and short circuits in businesses and homes.

Hai Phong City Police are coordinating with relevant units to clarify the exact cause and determine responsibility.
