Inside, numerous rooms are present, with scattered furnishings. |
Situated along the Han River, the yacht marina was an investment by Phan Van Anh Vu's Company Limited I.V.C, completed in 2017. The project, which encroached on the river, covers a land area of 2,100 square meters and a water surface area of 1,900 square meters. It received its license and was constructed during Nguyen Xuan Anh's tenure as Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee.
The marina never opened; its doors remained shut following its completion because Phan Van Anh Vu was arrested by the Ministry of Public Security for land violations in Da Nang.
The structure boasts a prime location, nestled between the Da Nang Administrative Center building and the city's People's Council headquarters. It is bordered by the river to the east, Bach Dang street to the west, offers views of the Han River swing bridge to the south, and adjoins the Han River port to the north. The three-story building features a rooftop terrace with scenic views. However, prolonged abandonment has led to the deterioration of many elements.

The ceiling on part of the 3rd floor has sustained damage after prolonged abandonment and exposure to natural elements, particularly the strong winds and storms common along the riverside.
On the exterior, many stone-clad wall sections have deteriorated and been damaged, becoming a canvas for graffiti.

Decorative ponds have turned into stagnant pools, and drainage channels are now littered with trash.
The city's decision to convert the marina follows years of deliberation. Since 2018, the City Party Committee has called for the project's reclamation, considering two options: converting the structure for public use or demolishing it to expand the western Han River waterfront. As part of planning projects along the Bach Dang - Tran Phu axis, the city launched an architectural competition for a Square - Museum. The approved plan, finalized in early 2025, aims to retain the yacht marina and repurpose its function.
The sidewalk in front of the marina is a popular spot for daily exercise. However, the project site itself is overgrown with weeds, a clear sign of its prolonged abandonment.

In December 2025, the Da Nang Department of Construction announced that the Da Nang City Party Committee had agreed to transform the Vu "Nhom" yacht marina into a public facility.
The Department of Construction confirmed the city has engaged with Company Limited I.V.C, the investor behind the Restaurant and Yacht Marina project located south of the Han River port, to execute the reclamation policy. In 2018, the city estimated the acquisition cost at approximately 100 billion VND, covering compensation for the structure's value but excluding leased land.
