Yesterday afternoon, Nhan's 75-year-old father-in-law reported to the commune police that his son-in-law was drunk and causing a disturbance. The commune police then assigned Major Nguyen Khac Huy, deputy head of the public order police team, along with Major Bui Huu Thanh, a neighborhood police officer, to the scene.

The two officers asked Nhan to come to the station for questioning, but he did not cooperate. As Major Huy opened the gate to the house, Nhan suddenly pulled out a sharp knife hidden on his person and seriously stabbed him. The suspect was immediately apprehended.

Major Huy was taken to the emergency room, and his health is now stable.
