On 22/6, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) announced that nearly three weeks after launching the campaign, the construction site maintains an average of over 7,300 direct laborers, an increase of about 4,5% compared to 1/6.
According to ACV, contractors are mobilizing more personnel to accelerate progress on key packages such as the passenger terminal, internal airport traffic, and runway 2. Some units are also deploying hundreds of military officers and soldiers to support construction.

To date, the total output value of sub-project three has reached over 65,600 billion dong, equivalent to nearly 76% of the signed contract value. Key construction and installation packages alone have achieved over 56,000 billion dong, equivalent to nearly 68% of the contract value, an increase of over 3% compared to early June.
"This indicates that the construction pace continues to accelerate following the launch of the peak campaign," an ACV representative stated.
For the internal airport traffic and technical infrastructure package, the investor is intensifying control across each area and item, requiring connection with related packages. The implementation value for package 4.8 currently stands at nearly 6,900 billion dong, equivalent to almost 62% of the contract value.
Entering the peak rainy season, ACV anticipates that weather conditions could impact outdoor construction activities, material and equipment transportation, and overall execution. The investor, along with relevant units, has developed response plans and adjusted schedules to suit actual conditions.

During a site inspection last week, leaders from the Ministry of Construction requested the investor, contractors, and related units to mobilize additional military forces to assist with cleanup, landscaping, and grass planting during the finalization stage.
Long Thanh Airport is being built on an area of about 5,000 hectares, with a total investment capital of nearly 16 billion USD. Phase one will have a capacity of 25 million passengers and 1,2 million tons of cargo annually. According to the plan, the airport will undergo trial operations in September before commencing commercial exploitation by the end of this year.
